SERVICE BULLETINS

 

 

 

The Service Bulletins are published by the manufacturers of aeronautical products. They are established to prevent the users of a technical problem, a novelty or an improvement of the aeronautical product, as well as to transmit a technical information concerning the use of the aeronautical product.

 

Hélices E-Props has chosen the complete transparency towards the users of its products.

 

The improvements, modifications and changes brought to its products further to tests, feedbacks and possible problems met by the users are detailed in Service Bulletins written by the company. It is not an obligation, but a security approach in the sector of the leisure aviation.

 

Some manufacturers of aeronautical products made for ultralight aircraft (not certified) do not bother writing such Service Bulletins. Unlike those companies, Hélices E-PROPS has chosen to be transparent and publishes here its Service Bulletins. The team E-PROPS recommends to the users to chose suppliers who present their Service Bulletins to prevent their customers.

 

Incomplete review of all information in this document can cause errors. Please read the entire Service Bulletin to make sure you have a complete understanding of the requirements.


The Service Bulletins of the Hélices E-Props company are available hereafter.

At this date, and since 2008, date of the creation of the E-PROPS company, there were only two Service Bulletins, which both concern direct drive engines.

Service Bulletin issued after a bad assembly by an user

 

Subject :

 

Tightening of the screws which hold the propeller on the engine's flange : with titanium rods

 

Required action :

 

 

Replacement of the screws which hold the propeller on the engine's flange with titanium rods provided by the manufacturer E-PROPS

 

Please note :

 

 

At this day, all users who have a propeller for this type of engine have received a kit of titanium rods with the manual and have personaly been informed

E-PROPS propellers are not certified propellers. While having been strongly tested, they have not received any safety or durability official tests agreements, and officially conform to no aircraft AESA and FAA standards to date.

However, E-PROPS meets the ASTM F2506-13 standards, for the LSA aircraft.

E-PROPS propellers are for use in experimental aircraft, not certified aircraft, LSA aircraft, ultralights motorgliders, paramotors, UAV, and any vehicles only in which an engine failure or the in-flight loss of the propeller will not compromise safety.

User assumes all risk of use, and acknowledges by his use that he knows his engine/propeller combination is subject to sudden stoppage.

 

Never fly an aircraft equipped with an engine/propellers combination in circumstances or in areas, in weather conditions or in altitudes where you have no chance for successful landing after an engine failure.

 

Read very attentively the Installation and Service Manual before starting the engine/propeller combination and apply all recommendations. Failure to do so may result in personal injuries including death.
